Go Big Blue!

Well folks, I journeyed north for the first time ever! It was so much fun! I met my friend Sunny up in Logan and she introduced me to a ton of rockin' people and we had a blast! Saturday Sunny did a tri in Lyman, WY and she did GREAT!
I rode over with her and we stayed in Evanston for the fair... my OH my was that an adventure! We spent the first 1/2 taking pics of all the people coming out of the woodworks! It was hysterical! This only scratches the surface of our finds:However, Josh Turner was playin that night.... oh boy.... he's GOOD lookin' and I LOVE that deep voice! And we stayed in Logan Sunday and Monday, it was so FUN! We even floated the canal, holy cow, it was freezing, but SO MUCH FUN! The town is super cute and I checked out USU campus.... I may have to start 'bleedin blue' and I'm contemplating movin north and startin school again... but I'll keep you all informed! GO AGGIES! Thanks so much Sun, for showing me around and being such a great friend and so helpful and supportive!

On the Road Again...

So 8 hours into our drive Jamaica and I, at the same time said, 'what the heck is that?' It was SO pretty and we saw it from SO far away because the colors were so vibrant!
Who knew they grow LAVENDER in Utah?! I didn't! They even have 'Lavender Days' with a 5k race and everything.... ya, that was pretty much the highlight of our trip home!

Always...

A bit bittersweet to leave WY and have to come back to SG. I love SG, don't get me wrong, but there's just something about being home, among friends and family that have known me my whole life that fills me up and I always dread leaving, even if I know I'll be back.
Thanks mom and dad, for always letting us come home, even if we bust your house at the seams and drive you nuts while we're there! It's still home!

Meanwhile...

So, even though I was at the wedding... my aunt across the field was throwing a Luau! My cousin Leigh is living in Maui and she was in town with her fiance Sid and their sweet baby Keala!
My niece Haleigh has been taking hula dancing lessons, and my aunt Robyn learned the 'Hukilau' dance on her latest trip to the islands.... so, they put on a little show for us, it was a riot! Thanks Aunt Shan, for throwin a good party!
ps... in case any of you don't know my dad... he loves chocolate... I mean LOVES it....
and in case you were wondering why I'm a bit goofy... most of it comes from this guy.... and I'm so grateful for that trait that I inherited! We enjoy the simple things in life! Thanks dad! :) (little disclaimer... YES, I am my dad's fashion consultant, and how he slipped into the Luau with his baseball cap on backwards in a shirt and tie with a lei on is beyond me!) jk Dad! Love ya!

Wrappin Up WY

SO, I lost track and need to catch up! Anyways, my last night in Worland an old high school friend got married, and it was such a perfect night for it! Lindsey and Chad are so cute and I wish them the best!
AND! Besides that, my friend Nina Ersgard flew over from Sweden for the wedding!!! I haven't seen her since my Jr year of high school and we've kept in touch over the years and it was SO GREAT to see her and catch up! She brought her boyfriend Fredrik, and he was hysterical and so fun as well! I'm now pinching pennies to go visit them and stay in their 'flat' in downtown Stockholm! :) Fredrik and I were talking about something and he told me my way of thinking was, 'SO AMERICAN!' HA HA HA! It was great to experience a lil diversity!

How'd I Do That?!

Oh boy... so I'm fallin hard into this whole digi scrap thing... well, confession... I haven't scrapped in MONTHS! Actually I'm SO intrigued with the photo editing and the possibilities are literally ENDLESS! There are free tutorials and classes online everywhere and sometimes I feel like my brain is on overload, but seriously, it's SO fun to see pics transform into cool stuff! Case in point, pic of my niece in WY...
Blah right? Nothin spectacular.... but.... just a couple clicks later...
And my friend Lindsey's wedding original...
SERIOUSLY? What's with the bald guy in the corner throwin the whole romantic scene off? Lets set the tone a bit and get to the point of why we took this darn pic shall we?!

I just learned how to make an authentic old school pic, age the colors, add texture, crop it to a square, add the stamps around the edges for effect, etc... you digi editors get my lingo!
The crazy thing is I'm SMALL FRIES when it comes to photo editing peeps, but it's just so stinkin much fun!
