A Lil Fire Story...

So, the following story is about the culprit below... Cody, the guy I've been dating is a wildlands firefighter... if you don't know what that is... that's a whole different post.... ANYWAYS, he ran in to my office on Monday and said, 'We got called out, not sure when we'll be back, but I wanted to see you before I leave... see ya!' ... great. Monday comes, Monday goes... Tuesday comes, Tuesday goes... not a word...and to answer your question... yes, I am starting to miss dear ol' Cody by this point! Finally this morning (don't forget, it's now FRIDAY) I get a text that says he's in and out of service, but they're moving, so he'll try to call me tonight. Great. There goes the weekend we had sort of 'penciled' in consisting of going to the rodeo, bingo, camping, etc. Throw that out the window! Blah.
So I go to lunch with Jamaica and come back to work, and I'll admit, I'm sulking a lil bit. The County Clerk comes in and is explaining something to us, and the door opens, I glance up, prepare for, 'I'll be right with you sir....'
WAIT A SECOND!
Double take...
IT'S CODY!!!
He came strollin in to my office carrying these...
"surprise Jules... I'm home... and you look really cute today by the way!"
I lied before... I really do love surprises. :)

LET'S GO THUNDER!!!

Last night was my nephew Michael's first tackle football game, it was so funny! I love watching little kid's sporting events.... honestly, soccer drives me nuts, but watching kids TACKLE each other was a riot! And they looked so professional in their gear with their names on their jerseys.... (ask Jamaica's opinion on THAT fiasco!) But here are a few pics from the game...

It was funny to listen to the coaches try to get the kids excited... they would YELL, 'WHO WANTS TO PLAY FOOTBALL?' and the kids would reply in unison, 'we do coach...' to which the coach would YELL back, 'SHOW ME WHO WANTS TO PLAY FOOTBALL! Come on guys, get excited.' :)

And we spent the first 1/2 of the game debating how you would properly pronounce this name.... poor kid.... maybe the X on his helmet was supposed to draw the attention away from the name on the jersey... ?

Happy Labor Day!

What a whirlwind of events this past weekend has had, sheesh!
First, my parents were in town for a couple days, which is always fun because they don't make it down here that often. My niece Ms Haleigh Hansen was baptized on Saturday, and it was so fun to watch her take that step in her life.... they grow up so fast *tear*
Overall, it was a rockin weekend that was anything from dull!
We got to play with my mom....

And Cody's dad came down and we got to take his bike our for a little ride...
It turned out to be a great Labor Day weekend!

I had lunch with the girls today and got so excited to see what Mya can do! Melt my freakin heart, she knows my name! Well... sorta... it kinda comes out G.G, but I'm not picky!

My Weekend Update...

Thurday night Jen and Colls and I had Roomie Dinner. We haven't done that since Christmas, so we were long over due! It was fun to just catch up.... and eat, of course!
I got off work early last Friday and Cody and I took a hike in Red Cliffs, it was HOT, but we walked in the dry creek bottom, so it was fun and always good to be outside!
Sunday afternoon Cody and I took a Sunday drive to Pine Valley. It was BEAUTIFUL! The weather was nice and cool and I LOVE the smell of the mountains! We both saw this lil church up there and had the same thought: shoot dang, this would be perfect for Jen and Jimmy.... it's my vote for gettin hitched, even with a dusting of snow, it would be timeless!
While we were driving home Cody slams on the brakes and says, 'DID YOU SEE THAT, OH MAN YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT!' He was so excited, I thought it was a buffalo or a moose or he had won the lottery right there on the road!
A stick of gum is all we had on us for a comparison, but OH MAN this tarantula was big, fast and hairy... ew... I officially hate spiders but was so glad I didn't find this in my room!
